How to Make a Hook Clasp
You will need round nose pliers and flat nose pliers. Step 1: Cut a 3 cm length of 16 - 20 gauge wire. Make a basic loop at one end of the wire. Step 2: Hold the wire with a thicker part of the round nose pliers and bend the wire around to meet the first loop. Step 3: You may need to trim some excess wire off the end. Then make a tiny loop to finish the hook.
     When using sterling silver wire, you will need to strengthen the wire by hammering with a nylon coated hammer or squeeze the design between nylon jaw pliers. Variations of the hook clasp:
